Matt Zayko

and Co-Author, The Power of Process
Matt shares the knowledge gained from over 25 years immersed in leading, coaching, and publishing about lean enterprise improvements in The Power of Process. His leadership in numerous industries focused on helping people transform product development, engineering, manufacturing, and service processes, including their associated operating systems. Staff- and management-level roles include several under the guidance of former Toyota mentors for Chrysler / University of Michigan, Gelman Sciences, Delphi, and Pall (now part of Danaher).
Before joining GE Company, Matt coached organizations through his consultancy and as an LEI faculty member and coach for LEI’s Lean Product and Process Development initiative, working closely with smaller, entrepreneurial-minded and larger global companies alike. A frequent presenter at conferences related to lean transformation, Matt has published in the Journal of Quality Engineering, IIE Solutions, and the Journal of Cost Management, plus a chapter in the 1998 Shingo-Prize winning book Becoming Lean, and many white papers for the LEI.
Matt received his Master of Science in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
