Dear Members of the Global Lean Community —
Last week the Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI) and Lean Global Network (LGN) expressed their solidarity with Ukraine.
To demonstrate that solidarity, LEI and LGN pledge to support sanctions against Russia and have established a GoFundMe to collect donations to help our sister institute community, Lean Institute Ukraine (LIU).
Effective immediately, LEI and LGN are suspending business with any Russian entity, including relationships with an LGN member, the Lean Institute Russia.
To support LIU’s team and their families, the Lean Global Network has established a GoFundMe to collect donations dedicated to helping them meet their basic needs, such as food and shelter. Our goal is to collect $280,000, which equals the annual payroll of LIU. We invite you to contribute here:
The Russian invasion of Ukraine is displacing millions of innocent civilians from their homes, including LIU staff and lean community members. While the Ukrainian people admirably resist militarily, they’ve called for the global community to support their efforts economically and politically as their situation grows increasingly dire by the day.
Please join us in supporting Ukraine. To help LIU staff, please contribute to the LGN GoFundMe; to support the broader cause, we suggest donating to the United Refugee Agency.
