Dear Members of the Global Lean Community —
LEI is proud to share the mission of spreading lean thinking and practice with Lean Institute Ukraine (LIU), a fellow member of the Lean Global Network.
Founded in 2016, LIU’s mission is to build a better future for Ukraine. Its team, led by Serhii Komberyanov, has worked tirelessly to make things better by developing lean capability and growing the lean community across the country. They’ve hosted conferences convening hundreds of people, provided training, partnered with some of Ukraine’s largest companies, and translated books.

While watching the senseless destruction of the country has been heartbreaking, we’ve been proud to see members of the Lean Global Network come together to support Ukraine and the Lean Institute Ukraine during this needless war. LGN and its member institutes – from Poland to Australia to Lithuania and elsewhere – have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to assist LIU’s team members and families, as well as the broader relief effort. Some have also contributed resources to finding shelter and ensuring safety for refugees.
This war must end.
In the coming days, LGN will establish a fund to support Lean Institute Ukraine’s team members. We hope you will join us in contributing to this fund. All proceeds will go toward assisting with basic needs such as food and shelter.
